It is true - Henry is 14 months old today (as an aside - when do we stop referring to his age in months and instead do years? When he is two, I suppose. It is hard to imagine referring to him as my 76 month old someday...)
Here is a picture of Henry from this time last year:
And here is one from today:
Henry continues his obsession with shoes. He is now attempting to put them on his feet - not very well, I might add - as well as stealing any unattended "adult" shoes laying about and then placing them oh-so-carefully on our dining table. This is apparently where shoes belong. It is also scary to see how tall he now is and how far he can reach onto the top of the table and kitchen counters - setting something on the table no longer guarantees its safety.
He has also discovered the joy of playing with balls, and can be occupied for quite a while throwing a ball ("throwing" is used loosely here) and then chasing after it. "Taking turns" is not yet a concept he grasps, so for now it is a one man ball playing show.
In other news, this morning we had his follow up eye appointment at Children's Hospital. Once again the hospital impressed us with their efficiency and friendliness, and more importantly Henry received a clean bill of health for his eyes - no problems at all and no need for a return visit.
Henry celebrated the good news by taking a TWO AND A HALF HOUR NAP. This was much appreciated, especially considering the rainy day we are having. Thanks Henry!!!
