We survived Blizzard Nemo! (I was unaware blizzards were named until yesterday...guess I haven't paid much attention). School and work were cancelled on Friday so we all hunkered down to wait it out. By the time the snow stopped late this morning we had about 2 feet outside (and a hefty dose of cabin fever!)
Elliot admiring the snow on our balcony:
A few views of the neighborhood as we started to dig out:
Cross country skiing down our street:
Henry spent much of the day building an elaborate igloo/snow fort with various entrances:
And helped shovel our neighbor's sidewalk:
He wanted to play in the backyard, but we hadn't yet cleared the back steps:
And I had to lift him over the gate since the snow wouldn't let us open it. Once in the backyard, the drifts made Henry collapse from exhaustion:
We took Elliot out briefly in his sled, but he was unimpressed:
We had to get the baby sled out from our basement....good thing the basement door opens inwards:
Mike and I took turns and were out shoveling for a total of over 4 hours - and we still haven't cleaned off the car! Here's hoping we can actually be out and around as normal by Monday!
