This evening we had a great group of friends over for our first annual multi-denominational holiday party!
The kids decorated cookies:
(those were all made by Kate, who was a cookie decorating machine. Henry ate all of his cookies immediately upon completion, so no pictures)
Trimmed the tree:
Aaron slaved over latkes:
We lit a Menorah and the kids learned to play Dreidel (Henry also burst into a spontaneous verse of "Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel, I made you out of clay..." which I enjoyed):
Much food was consumed:
A light was brought out to represent the Hindu festival of Diwali:
The kids got Mike to give them a reading of "The Night Before Christmas":
And ended the evening with a gift exchange:
It was a great time, and we are so glad we have such a great group of friends to help share the holidays with!
