Boston POPS

Today was Henry's first experience with a great Christmas tradition - the Boston POPS holiday show at Symphony Hall. All through the Christmas season the POPS does children's matinee shows - so only an hour long, more songs like "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" mixed in among the more traditional holiday songs, and a visit from Santa.

We had seats way up in the second balcony, but Henry still had a clear view.

He really enjoyed it. He was mesmerized at the first few pieces. His attention wavered ever so slightly after 20 minutes, but he was reeled back in with the readings/arrangements of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and "'Twas The Night Before Christmas".

In fact, he was so enthralled by The Grinch (which we had yet to read to him) that we had to stop at a book store on the way home to purchase a copy (which has now been read about 10 times - he keeps asking "but WHY? Why doesn't the Grinch like Christmas???")

Only 5 more days!
