End of summer

I can't believe that it is September, and that summer is almost over. Henry had two "transitional visits" to his new preschool this week. The first day (when I stayed with him) he cried - which made me cry. It was a tough day. The second visit (where I dropped him off) he had a great time, and cried at home that night because he "missed preschool". We shall see how he does on Tuesday, his first "real" day. How is it that Henry is old enough for preschool???? Time goes too fast.

It has been almost unbearably hot here this week, but we have been trying to get out an enjoy our last week of freedom as much as possible.

See-sawing on our last day at Laurie's:

Learning new tricks on the swings:

Death defying acts in the park sprinklers:

A final trip to the splash park:

And quality time with best friends:

We are coming up on a crazy week - 2 birthday parties, a block party, and a BBQ this weekend, preschool starting Tuesday, and then heading off on Thursday for a week in California and the Santa Barbara Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. It looks like the fall will be just as jam packed as the summer!
