We are finally (almost) unpacked, and have been receiving requests for photos. Thanks for the patience, and here is the house tour!
Front:
(and at night!)
Back yard:
We have grapes!
Back stairs. To the right is the garage (green door leads into it, deck is above the garage). To the left is the pass through to the driveway, with a door on the left that goes into the basement. A door into the kitchen/mudroom is at the switchback on the deck stairs)
Deck:
Going in the front door:
(we obviously still need to hang some pictures!)
To the left of the front door are the living room and sunroom (being used as an office and homework station)
To the right of the front door is the dining room:
Behind the dining room is the kitchen (we are going to re-do this in the next year or so):
Going downstairs to the basement....the basement is fully finished and has 4 rooms: the storage/art room, the currently empty room that will be a home gym, the utility room, and the playroom. We will be re-carpeting ASAP, and I think once the dark grey is gone it will look a lot brighter.
The storage room. We decided that since this room already had a utility sink and wasn't carpeted like the rest of the basement it would be a great arts and crafts room for the kids (surrounded by storage boxes and rolls of toilet paper, of course)
Hallway leading to playroom (the doors are to a storage closet):
Playroom! The stage is original to the house. When the house was fully re-done about 15 years ago they found theater seating from around the '20s that had to be ripped out. So apparently, many performances were put on down here:
Now going up to the 2nd floor. The master suite. The "dressing room" (attached to the master bedroom) when we moved in was just two small built in closets. We had the entire room made into one larger closet:
Master bedroom and bathroom:
Guest Room:
(There is another bedroom on the 2nd floor that is currently awaiting a final decision on what to do with it...)
Moving up to the 3rd floor/boy's rooms:
Elliot's bedroom (we really need to get that tiger stripe window cushion re-covered!)
Boy's bathroom:
Henry's room (this is as clean as it gets):
That's it for now!
