Today was Henry's last day of First Grade! I, of course, was a blubbering mess. Not only because I can't believe Henry is a SECOND GRADER, but also because today was his last day at Driscoll School. He has been here for three years and it has been such a wonderful school and community for us. I know that his new school will also be wonderful, but today was still a hard day for both of us.
Henry has grown so much this year. He has worked so hard, has made wonderful friends, and has been an incredibly active member of his school - soccer, piano, Lego Club....thee kid was involved :)
Here is Henry with his wonderful teacher, Mrs. Harvey:
One of the hardest parts of switching schools next year is that Henry will miss his second year in the "Loop". At Driscoll, 1st and 2nd graders are looped, meaning they have the same class and same teacher for both years. Here is the good-bye card his class made for him:
(Yeah, that made me cry even more)
Congratulations Henry, we are so proud of you!
