Elliot is 8 months old!!!
What is our 8 month old up to? He has 2 teeth and eats like a champ:
He eats anything and everything. Zucchini gave him pause, but now he loves it. The only thing thus far he doesn't seem to like is cottage cheese - but he just made a terrible face at every bite and still let me feed him. He is also like a squirrel and tends to store pieces of food in his cheek for hours on end. (as an aside - the other day upon arrival at school drop off Henry discovered that Elliot had been holding a Lego in his mouth the entire morning. Oops).
He waves!
He isn't terribly consistent (or fluid with his movement) but the intent is there.
He is babbling a lot - his favorite sounds are Mamamamamama and Blablablablablablabka
And, of course, he is standing on EVERYTHING. Within the past week he has begun consistently cruising on the furniture and going between the couch and coffee table. Scary!
Happy 8 months to our little guy!

Thanksgiving 2012
We headed to Florida for Thanksgiving again this year! It was Elliot's first plane ride...he did an excellent job except for the fact that, like his older brother, Elliot thinks that sleeping on planes is for sissies. In fact, the only time he cried at all during our travels was when I attempted to have him take a nap. He wanted to be up and moving (and flirting with all the ladies around us...)
Once safely arrived we had a lot of fun. Henry spent a lot of time playing with Legos (surprise!) and doing art:
Reading with Aunt Gina:
Doing scavenger hunts:
And, of course, spent endless time in the pool:
Elliot spent most of his time practicing going over the step between the kitchen and dining room:
Dining al fresco:
And trying out the pool himself! (he was a little unsure. And yes, we realized the day before we left that we have no summer hats that fit his gigantic head anymore and attempted to wedge a way too small baseball cap on him. Not a good look)
We spent one afternoon at Henry's favorite playground:
Where we went on the carousel:
I attempted to take a picture of Elliot on his first carousel ride...I somewhat captured the look of extreme fear and confusion on his face:
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Moving Right Along
Elliot is a man on the move!
His new obsession is crawling through as many things as possible...the bottom of the Exersaucer and the coffee tables are favorites:
He has also started pulling up to stand!
(look at that pose!)
The only issue is that he can't yet get down from standing. This can lead to him getting stuck in some awkward situations:
He also now has his second tooth (the other bottom middle) and I can feel bumps where his top middle teeth arestarting to make their move.
And, here is your cliche, standard messy eating baby picture for all to enjoy:
