Santa Fe

On Friday Nana and Papa flew into Boston to watch Henry and let me and Mike head out for a mini vacation. We decided to go to Santa Fe, since neither of us had been there before and it promised all that we were looking for: good weather, relaxation, beautiful scenery....

We stayed at an outstanding resort, The Encantado

Our casita:

The first day we relaxed at the resort - I had some amazing spa treatments, we spent time at the pool, went on a short hike, and then went into town for a wonderful dinner at Geronimo's (I had the elk - tasty!):

On Sunday we spent the day in town, touring art galleries:

Having guacamole and sangria at Coyote Cafe:

And admiring the architecture:

On Monday we headed to Hyde State Park to hike:

This sign gave me pause:

For lunch we went back into Santa Fe where I had the best sandwich of my life at Cafe Pasquale:

And then headed out for a drive to Tent Rocks National Monument:

We came home last night to a very happy Henry who had obviously had an outstanding time with Nana and Papa. Thank you both so much for coming and taking such good care of our little guy - we really appreciate it!
