Lessons

We have learned a few lessons this past week:

1 - After a major ice storm, it is really not wise to put your baby in a Baby Bjorn and go outside, thus stepping on a black ice coated driveway and slipping all the way into the street. But, we are thankful for nice neighbors who, upon seeing the spectacular ice skating action and balance shown by yours truly, stop their car to help you navigate your way safely inside (no babies or moms were hurt in this attempt).

2 - Even though your baby may SEEM to be doing well and recovering from colds and ear infections, it is still NOT WISE to hold the baby above your head while playing with him, no matter how much he may like this. It is also not wise - when the inevitable massive baby spit up comes from holding the baby above your head - to turn your head to try and avoid the spit up. Because then it all goes in your ear. This is most unpleasant.

3 - Finally, Henry hates avocado. It kind of makes me sad, because I could eat them all day and all night. He was so traumatized by the avocado that he has really not eaten any solids since the attempt. He just looks warily at them, afraid that I may have hidden avocado in there somewhere.
