Today was Marathon Monday! As we do every year, Henry and I walked down to watch a bit of the Marathon by our house. This year was different because they had tightened security so much. Barriers lined the route entirely on both sides, and our usual method of sprinting across Beacon Street when there was a gap in the runners just wasn't happening this year. So, our plans had to change slightly (those we were planning on getting together with live on the other side of Beacon Street and we didn't want to get stuck and unable to get home until they opened things around 4). Also, Henry decided to take over my camera and do all the photography himself:
Here are some of his photos - not too bad!

Easter 2014
Happy Easter!!!
With all the craziness of the last month, we were looking forward to this year's Easter being a day to do NOTHING. No fancy dinners, no dressing up, no obligations. However, of course the Easter bunny had to come and visit with baskets of goodies:
As always, the Bunny hid the baskets (in the upstairs shower this year!) with a trail of jelly beans to lead the way:
Henry and Elliot went a little crazy with the jellybeans (as always) and finding the eggs the Bunny had hidden throughout the house:
Tomorrow is the Marathon, Tuesday we leave for Disney World, and Wednesday Henry turns SEVEN!!! Today, we rest to prepare for our big week.

New House!
You may have noticed a sudden steep drop in our communication with people ,as well as blog posts. Things have been a little crazy around here with the recent purchase of our NEW HOUSE! We have been casually looking for a while now, and when the perfect house came on the market we had to act fast.
We are still in Brookline, moving less than a mile away, to the Fisher Hill area. We close on June 2nd and will be moving sometime at the end of June. We have been a little crazy dealing with various inspections and contracters, as well as the craziness of putting our current house on the market (and keeping it clean with two crazy boys and their endless Legos!) I'm guessing that by mid July things will calm down and posting can hopefully return to normal. We are so excited about the new house and all the things it has to offer! We will definitely be posting pictuires as we move in and make it our own!

Two Year Appointment
Elliot had his two year check up today. I am a bad mom and apparently missed his 21 month appointment (I had no idea they did that one!) so poor E had a few vaccines to catch up on and was most displeased. He was actually displeased with the entire appointment - many, many tears. Apparently being weighed, measured, and having your ears checked is VERY upsetting at two.
It wasn't the best appointment. Although his height has now gone up to the 75th percentile (35 inches - more in line with his Powell genes than he has been), his weight is still a big worry. He is now 25 pounds - 5th percentile. He has gone down in weight percentiles at every appointment since he was born, and his BMI now officially puts him in the "underweight" category. Sooo...his pediatrician is concerned. We are being sent first for a full blood panel to rule out allergies and other medical concerns that may be causing his lack of weight gain/light eating. Then we are headed to a nutritionist and feeding expert. Fun times. Hopefully he is just a light eater and we can convince him that things like milk and peanut butter are delicious.

Elliot is TWO!!!!
Happy birthday to our sweet little guy! To celebrate, we had a repeat of last year's party - a joint birthday celebration with Ben at My Gym. It was a mish mash of themes - trucks/constriuctioon for Elliot, and Mickey Mouse for Ben :)

Bunnies
Elliot went to a friend's 3rd birthday party today, where they had baby animals to pet and hold. Elliot LOVED the tiny bunnies:
(he calls rabbits "hop hops")
He also met a pig and goat:
Played with many toys:
And refused to eat any cake (Because he won't eat bread or cake. In other words, not my kid).
During the animal extravaganza Henry was at his friend Meredith's "Harry Potter" themed birthday party, where apparently they played Quidditch with balloons, but somehow Henry came home with zombie face paint.
