Ben's Birthday Party
We had a wonderful time this afternoon enjoying the gorgeous weather and going to Ben's 1st birthday party! Henry was a maniac running all around:

90 degrees
It was 90 degrees here in Boston today! (well, I think it was actually 89, but for dramatic effect 90 sounds much better...) It will be over by tomorrow (when it is supposed to be back down in the 50s/60s), but for today Henry and I took advantage of the gorgeous weather by having an impromptu dinner picnic at the park:

Park Weather
I know that it won't last, but for now we are experiencing some absolutely beautiful spring weather. Henry has been thrilled to get some quality park time in.
He has graduated to "big kid" swings! I am trying to teach him to pump his legs, but he is having none of it. Why do the work on your own when mom is there to push you?
Playing what he calls "dino-ball" (the rules remain a mystery to me):
And then taking a breather on mom's legs for a bit:
Very serious about his sandbox play:
It is supposed to stay in the 70s through Thursday - here's hoping the forecast is correct!

Happy Easter!
We started the day with Henry's Easter basket
He was very excited by what the Easter Bunny brought him - a harmonica, some Playmobil men, silly putty, dinosaurs, sidewalk chalk, and lots of jellybeans! We originally planned to do an Easter Egg hunt in the afternoon, but Mike ended up having to go into the office, and Henry was on such sugar overload from the morning that I decided to skip it (I may have therefore eaten all of the jellybeans and mini chocolate eggs that were to be used in the hunt while Henry was napping, but I will never admit to it).
Instead, we took advantage of the gorgeous weather and had a great park playdate with Jake and Lila:
