Thanksgiving 2014

For the first time in many years. we decided to stay home for Thanksgiving so we could celebrate in the new house. While we missed seeing our family, it turned out to be a good decision both due to the bad weather that affected all the flights yesterday, plus the fact that poor Elliot has been very sick the past few weeks. It started with croup, which then transformed into a cough and high fever, which the other day mutated into a double ear infection. So that hasn't been fun. Here he was on Monday - a portrait of pathetic.

Luckily he seems to be rallying with antibiotics, so we are hopeful that we can once again leave the house soon!

Even with the crabby 2 year old it was lovely to celebrate Thanksgiving in our new home:

After eating, the kids burned off energy with a pot and pan jam session:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Art of the Brick

It was an early release day for Henry but Elliot had a full day of preschool, so Henry and I went on an adventure downtown to see the Art of the Brick exhibit at Faneuil Hall. It is an exhibit by the artist Nathan Sawaya, who uses Lego bricks for all of his work. Perfect for Henry.

We met up with his friend Julian and both kids were amazed by all the Lego art. Henry had a lot of fun recognizing some of the more popular reproductions:

Henry now knows there is hope to make a solid career out of Lego building!

I See Dead People

Elliot has a new passion for going into the kitchen and opening all drawers and cupboards. Remember the scene in the Sixth Sense? Its basically like that every day here.

Halloween continues.....

Elliot is still firmly in the Halloween spirit. Refusing to remove his costume for grocery shopping:

Or to take a bath:

Two year olds are fun!
