Halloween 2014

Happy Halloween!

We love Halloween here - Elliot in particular was very in to all the decorations this year. Any walk we took had to include several detours to go past particularly good house decorations.

The kids carved and decorated their pumpkins earlier this week:

Here is Henry's finished product:

At preschool today they had a Halloween party and all the kids came in costume:

After school Henry had a big Halloween/ "pre trick or treating" party:

There was lots of craziness, pizza, running around...and an excellent game of "wrap the mummy" of the front lawn:

Then it was off for trick or treating! Elliot did well. He loved running from house to house and would scream "THANK YOU! NEXT HOUSE!". He started having a little trouble with big groups of kids when doorways got crowded (he does NOT like crowds) but overall was pretty good. Henry was "Shredder" and Elliot was Michelangelo - both from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:

We stopped in a friend's house for snacks and candy apples (and adult beverages for me and Mike!)

And now the candy eating extravaganza can begin!

Fall Fun

We headed out for a day of fall fun at Conors Farm today. It was perfect, chilly weather for corn mazes, cider donuts, and general frivolity.

(We call that one Henry's "Children of the Corn" picture)
