For Thanksgiving this year we rented a house in Newport, Rhode Island and were lucky to have Aunt Gina and Mike #2 join us!
The house was very neat - originally an old barn from Indiana. The kids loved the open spaces and excessive amounts of couch cushions they could play with.
Thanksgiving day had excessive food:
But once again my children only ate pumpkin pie and turkey. Elliot only ate rolls. Sigh.
The kids had a lot of fun with Aunt Gina:
And there was much relaxing:
The day after Thanksgiving we went to tour The Breakers:
And then we took a long, scenic drive to Watch Hill only to discover that the town was completely shut down for the season (although we did find Taylor Swift's house!)
Happy Thanksgiving!

Arboretum Walk
It was shockingly above freezing today, so we decided to take the kids out for a walk at the Arnold Arboretum - likely our last until Spring.
I attempted to bribe the children with lollipops to get a decent picture. It worked beautifully for Henry:
Elliot, not so much:

Michigan
We travelled to Grand Rapids this past weekend for Judd's wedding, along with a Rohde/Cary/Powell family reunion!
The boys looking very serious in their wedding finery:
Suspenders are so much fun:
Henry and his cousins Sam and Graham were amazing on the dance floor (poor Elliot was put to bed early and missed the fun):
The day after the wedding we all hung out at Nana and Papa's house, where all the cousins spent time playing outside:
And many games of "throw the rings on the antler hat" were played:
It was a great weekend, and we were so happy to see the extended family!
