Elliot is 3 months old today!
It is almost impossible to get a picture of him without him gnawing on his hands:
In Elliot updates...He is starting to roll on his side, and starting to grab objects (often accidentally, and then he doesn't know how to let go). He is FINALLY eating less often than every hour and a half to two hours (yeah!). but this past week has decided that he needs to nap after no more than 45 minutes of being awake, which has made going places a challenge. He had his first trip to my gym daycare this week and did a stellar job (although I wasted my time there completley by spending most of it chatting with old gym friends).
I didn't want to say it before (due to THE JINX), but Elliot was previously sleeping 8 hour stretches at night - a miracle especially compared to Henry's infant sleep. Yeah...I should have gone ahead and told people while I could, because that certainly isn't happening anymore. After we get back from our trip we are going to try to move him into the crib and potentially out of the swaddle (he is getting too big for it) in the hopes that it will improve nighttime sleep a bit. Wish us luck!
Happy 3 months to our little guy!

A Visit and Sick
We had a fun visit with Aunt Gina this weekend! She arrived on Friday afternoon and we had big plans for that night - a sitter for Elliot and the rest of us were heading to Fenway for Henry's first Red Sox game! Unfortunately, as we were heading out the door to pick up Gina at the train station Henry suddenyl said "I don't feel very well" and it was soon determined that he had come down with a very sudden 102.8 degree fever (!). Poor kid. Gina took a taxi, the tickets were given away, and we hunkered down in sick kid mode.
Here is Henry with the sign he had made to hold while greeting Gina at the train station (that we sadly couldn't use):
The rest of Friday we stayed in. Gina got to meet Elliot:
And he showed off his head lifting skills for a while:
Saturday Henry was still pretty sick. Luckily, Aunt Gina is known for her impressive art project skills, and together they made a castle for around his bed:
There was lots of playtime for Elliot:
And when Henry perked up mid-afternoon we played in the sprinklers:
Thanks to Aunt Gina for the visit - it was a lot of fun!

Elliot Updates
Just some random Elliot updates......I weighed him on a baby scale at our mom/baby class the other day, and our little chunk a munk is weighing in at 13 pounds even!
He has zero interest in rolling. None. Henry was rolling back to belly at this point (which was unfortunate because as you may recall he HATED being on his belly, yet obsessively rolled onto it all the time. It was ...challenging). Elliot is happy as a clam hanging out in most positions you put him in. He has, however, started motoring himself around by pushing his legs. This afternoon I put him on his playmat right in the middle. A few moments later I found him off the edge:
(the crown was from Henry).
Less than a minute later he was here!
It gives you a start when you look for your previously stationary baby and find them a foot from where you left them!
Also, we solved our bath time dilemma. Mr. Sweet and Calm HATED baths, either in a traditional infant tub or just being sponge bathed. The solution is this great infant tub we found that is basically a glorified bucket that he can sit in and be more immersed in the water. Now, bath time is fun!
Summer
Summer officially began this evening, and Mother Nature acknowledged it with 90+ degree temperatures today with high humidity. To beat the heat, this morning we met up with Kate at a local park to play in the sprinklers. (of course, the sprinklers only lasted a few minutes, and then Henry decided to just run around and play):
Elliot attempted to sleep through the heat:
But it didn't really work:
In the afternoon we had our friends over for a Slip N' Slide playdate:
Welcome summer!

Last Day of School
Today was Henry's last day of preschool! (I know it is random that it was on a Monday, but it is because the public schools didn't have to add any snow day make ups on this year)
Here he is on his first day back in September:
(He was in major need of a haircut both times, apparently...)
This past year has had a lot of big changes:
But Henry has taken them in stride and excelled. We are so proud of him!

Fathers Day 2012
We had a fun Fathers Day celebrating our favorite father of two! We kept it low key this year - Mike basically just wanted to stay home and play with his new Fathers Day gift:
(so shiny!)
It was a stay in the backyard and grill day - along with some baseball:
I was a big failure with the camera and thus did not get a shot of Mike and the kids. Luckily, we don't need a photo to let us know what a great dad Mike is. Happy Fathers Day!
